Craftsman showing their wares. All of these are within a short driving distance from our lodgings.

Canton

World Famous First Monday TradeDays ...This "once a month" event attracts up to 7,000 vendors on over 300 acres of land. Up to 200,000 shoppers take in "the experience" of First Monday. Of course the town of Canton is a wonderful experience in itself with Blue Grass Music Festivals, Antique Car Swaps, and Motorcycle Rallies...just to name a few.

Athens

Known for its beauty and peacefulness is definitely a town not to
Fiddler

miss. It has its own Antique Alley which is worth the visit, not to mention unique restaurants, and quaint cafes. Athens is the home to The Texas Parks and Wildlife Fish Hatchery, a "one of a kind", state of the art attraction. Athens also hosts the annual Black Eyed Pea Festival, and not to be missed, the most unforgettable, Old Time Fiddler's Reunion.

Our area golf courses are some of the most beautiful in the country. Lush fairways and breath-taking views are sure to challenge any golf enthusiast.

Don't forget to take into consideration the many fishing and boating lakes-Lake Fork, Cedar Creek, Purtis Creek, Lake Tawakoni and the gorgeous Lake Palestine, all of which are just a short drive from Canton.
